AZUR PAPIER – START OF PRODUCTION OF THE SECOND MACHINE
AZUR PAPIER – START OF PRODUCTION OF THE SECOND MACHINE

Highly anticipated, it was finally on February 23, 2021 that the production of the first reel in cellulose wadding of the second production line took place, eight years after the production of the first reel of the first paper machine (28 February 2013). This new investment will increase the production capacity of Azur Papier by 150% and will allow the group to develop its exports and meet the raw material needs of its African subsidiaries in order to support them in their growth strategies.

Azur Papier, a subsidiary of the SAH Group, was created in 2009 as part of the group's vertical integration strategy to guarantee the quality of its main raw material and ensure its independence in the supply of cellulose wadding. Having reached its full capacity - following strong market demand thanks to the quality of tissue paper products - the group has invested in a second production line with a capacity of 33 thousand tons per year at a total cost of 87 million of dinars. 40% of the production of this second line will meet the growing needs of the group's subsidiaries in cellulose wadding and the rest will be intended for export.

Azur Papier offers reels in virgin and recycled quality, designed and manufactured in an ethical and responsible manner. For its virgin pulp supplies, it works with FSC-certified suppliers who guarantee optimum quality with minimum impact on the environment and people. Azur Papier's production process also includes the production of recycled quality wadding, which consumes fewer natural resources and transforms waste paper, which reduces the impact on the environment.
